The Timothy Project is a team of people committed to plant churches, and help churches fulfil The Great Commission. We work mainly with churches in Germany and Norway, but also in other nations.
We offer coaching to church leaders so that their churches can grow in numbers and in maturity. Churches are at different levels in their relationship with the Timothy Project. Some churches want support for a period of time or in specific areas, while others want to be deeply involved. Therefore, we offer various ways in which churches can connect with the Timothy Project.
A big part of our vision is to see new churches planted in towns and cities in Europe and beyond. We have a passion for communicating the Good News about Jesus, and planting churches is one of the most efficient way of evangelism. We love to work with people who has a burden to reach out – and to support them as they build a Christian community that reaches out to the non-churched in his or her town.
Many leaders are lonely, but this is not how God wants it to be! Therefore, we facilitate building friendships with other leaders, through regular gatherings for leaders.
At the core of the Timothy Project is a team of people with experience from planting churches, leading prayer houses, and training leaders. Today there are 14 people in the team. These people come from a variety of backgrounds: Five nationalities, with ages from 26 to 71 years old, a mix of women and men, as well as various levels of formal education. The team members have various occupations; some are in full time Christian ministry, some are in business, some are employees and some are homemakers. We believe working together in such diversity reflects an important value in God’s Kingdom.
